The United States has informed Israel that it does not want to see an outbreak of violence in the West Bank, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated, APA reports.
"President has made it clear that we don't want to see any further violence there, given everything that's going on in the region right now: the difficulties with implementing the Gaza agreement, the fragile situation in Lebanon, the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, the ongoing conflict with Iran. The last thing the region needs is more violence. And, in our view, the last thing Israel needs is more violence," the US Secretary of State said at a press conference on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly (GA) in New York, commenting on the situation in the West Bank.
"We've made it clear to everyone that, in the president's view, the world doesn't need a crisis in the West Bank right now. That's our position. I think we've made that clear," Rubio emphasized.
