NATO, the North Atlantic Alliance, should reconsider its strategy in light of the rapid development of Russia's naval forces and be prepared at a global level for the challenges that will arise in the future due to this development, says latest report by Andrew Monahan, a researcher at the NATO War College, APA reports.
Monahan believes that Moscow's increasing naval power is one of the main directions of its policy, forcing the alliance to move beyond an approach limited to land operations in the Atlantic and Europe. The report notes that this Russian naval potential creates new elements of threat to NATO not only in traditional areas, but also on a global scale.
