Some of five dead people in Indiana were shot: police

Baku-APA. Some of the five people who were found dead on Sunday in rural southwestern Indianapolis, capital of the U.S. state of Indiana, were shot, but it is unknown if the shooter or shooters were among the dead, local media reported on Monday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

Five people were found dead in two homes in Franklin County on Sunday afternoon, three of them are male and two female, local newspaper Indianapolis Star quoted the local police as saying.

Police said that they responded to a call that a small child was wondering along a road and a deputy arrived and began talking to the child and other neighbors in the area. After gaining more information he called for backup from other officers.

Police said that it is unknown if there is one or multiple shooters and did not disclose the details. The autopsies are scheduled to be performed on Monday.
