Baku-APA. The Nigerian government is sponsoring a transport reform bill that encourages state and local government involvement in the sector, an official said Thursday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The draft bill will soon go to the National Assembly for approval, Transportation Minister Idris Umar told a conference in the capital city of Abuja.
The minister noted that the Nigerian government has been constructing and rehabilitating more roads while reactivating the rail system and promoting inland waterway transport.
