Attack on Tunisian museum leaves 21 dead; manhunt for gunmen - <span style="color: red;">UPDATED

Baku-APA. At least 21 people were killed, including 17 tourists, in an armed attack on a museum in the capital Tunis on Wednesday, Tunisia's Prime Minister Habib Essid said, APA reports quoting Associated Press.

 

Five "terrorists" carried out the attack on Bardo Museum, two of them were killed by security forces, Essid said in a press conference.

 

A Tunisian citizen and a a policeman were also killed in the attack, Essid said.

 

The prime minister pointed out that about 100 tourists were inside the museum when it was attacked.

Baku – APA. Three gunmen wearing military uniform attacked Tunisia's parliament building on Wednesday, killing at least eight tourists and taking other visitors hostage in a nearby museum, APA reported citing Reuters.
 
They then headed to the Bardo museum nearby, opening fire at tourists there and taking some of them hostage. 
 
Some reports say there were about 200 people at the time the incident took place. It was possible to evacuate many of them.
