Baku-APA. Egyptian authorities decided Wednesday to refer Muslim Brotherhood (MB)'s top leader Mohamed Badei along with his two deputies to criminal court over charges of inciting violence, state-run al-Ahram Online reported, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

Egypt's prosecution referred the MB's general guide and the two deputies, Khairat al-Shater and Rashad al-Bayoumi, to trial for provocating violent acts in June outside the movement's headquarters in Cairo's Moqattam district, which killed at least eight people.

Badei, who has not been arrested, was referred to stand trial in absentia, despite a warrant issued against him.

Also on Wednesday, the prosecution ordered to renew detention of four MB's senior leaders for 15 days pending investigations over charges of killing peaceful protesters.
