Baku-APA. U.S. President Barack Obama on Wednesday came to the defense of Susan Rice, the American ambassador to the United Nations, saying she should not be blamed over her remarks on the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi of Libya, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
Rice, long considered a top candidate for the portfolio of secretary of state when Obama starts his second term in January, came under scathing attack by the Republicans over her description of the Benghazi attack as a spontaneous protest-turned violent act.
