Baku-APA. The Tripoli Court of Appeals on Monday postponed the trial of former prime minister Baghdadi al- Mahmoudi to Feb. 11, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

Mahmoudi, who served under former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, was detained in Tunisia for eight months before the Tunisian authorities agreed to extradite him to Libya for trial.

The third session of the trial started Monday in Tripoli, but was soon put off, as defense lawyers requested to postpone the trial in order to bring case file and more evidences from Tunisia.

Mahmoudi was tried with two officials from Afriqiyah Airline company for Engineering, namely, Mabruk al-Zahmul, the manager, and Amer Terfas, a director. All three are facing charges of embezzlement, financial corruption and murder.
