Plane crashes in eastern DR Congo

Baku-APA. An airplane, a Fokker with the African Aviation Company, a private Congolese airline, crashed in Gome, the provincial capital of North Kivu in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo on Monday afternoon, killing at least five people, an official said, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

According to an official with the Congolese airways authority, the aircraft crashed near Goma airport.

There were about 30 passengers on board and five bodies were removed from the debris of the airplane, the official said.
