Baku-APA. At least 119 people were injured in Egypt in clashes between protesters and police on Friday on the second anniversary of the revolt that toppled Hosni Mubarak, local health officials have said, APA reports quoting RIA Novosti.

Thousands of Egyptians filled Tahrir Square in the center of Cairo on Friday denouncing Islamist President Mohammed Morsi two years after the uprising began.

Protesters marched in outrage over unfulfilled demands for reform and calling for change.

Crowds also gathered in second largest city Alexandria and Suez. In Ismailiyah, hundreds of protesters torched a Muslim Brotherhood headquarters.

Egypt’s Health Ministry has sent 2,000 ambulances in preparation for the demonstrations.

Media reports said Egyptian police fired tear gas and protesters pelted stones.
