Baku-APA.The Egypt's imminent cabinet reshuffle will be "limited" with "some" ministerial changes and will be announced within a few days, a presidential spokesman said at a press conference Wednesday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
Presidential spokesman Ehab Fahmi told reporters that the intended partial cabinet reshuffle announced by President Mohamed Morsi Saturday was not "a purpose itself" but it was meant to improve the performance of some concerned ministries in favor of the Egyptian people.
He added that consultations over the reshuffle between the president and prime minister Hesham Qandil were still going.
Fahmi added that the presidency contacted various political forces and parties, including the main opposition bloc dubbed the National Salvation Front (NSF), to recommend nominees for the intended reshuffle of ministers and governors, stressing the posts will be for those "best qualified."
Morsi's spokesman announced that the presidency accepted the resignation of presidential legal adviser Mohamed Fouad Gadallah who he tendered it Tuesday.
Gadallah resigned due to what he believed to be "unclear vision for running the country and planning the future," "the persistence to keep the current government of Qandil regardless of its failure, " and the attempts of the president's Islamist supporters "to assassinate the judicial authority and ruin its independence."
On Sunday, Egyptian Justice Minister Ahmed Mekki also tendered his resignation over the recent Islamist anti-judiciary protests that called for purging the judiciary.
Mekki will remain in office until new justice minister is appointed in the coming cabinet reshuffle.
