Egyptian Defense Ministry calls on people to respect curfews

Baku-APA. Egypt’s Defense Ministry on Saturday called on all Egyptian citizens to show self-restraint at time of curfew and protect public properties from those who are trying to use the situation, the ministry said in a statement broadcasted by Egypt’s National TV, APA reports quoting Xinhua News Agency.
In the statement, the ministry vowed to protect Egypt’s citizens against rioters who stepped up activities to frighten others and rob them. "We also call on all people to stand against people who aim at destabilizing your safety," said a spokesman of the ministry.
The spokesman asserted that the army will toughly deal with all those who act out of the law.
The Egyptian military is sending reinforcements to secure all the areas.
According to reporters, people are forming security chains to protect public and private belongings from being looted and destroyed.
Meanwhile, riots are taking place all around the country, with many public and private properties robbed and stolen.
Many people in both Suez and Alexandria are calling on the army to protect their properties from rioters who are stealing amid protests.
Egyptian army troops took control of government institutes on Saturday in both cities of Arish and Suez in an attempt to protect public properties from robbery.
