The average monthly temperature in Azerbaijan in January will be close to the climate normal, the Ministry of Ecology of Natural Resources told APA on Dec. 29.

The average monthly precipitation is expected to be close to the climate normal in the country, but it is expected to be above normal in some areas.

The average monthly temperature in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula is predicted to be 4-6C (2-7C at nights, and sometimes -3C, 8-13C during daytimes, and sometimes even 1-5C). This figure is close to the climate normal and slightly above normal.

The monthly precipitation will be close to the climate normal and above normal (18-28 mm) in some places.
