Azerbaijani State Commission: 3,875 persons listed as missing

Azerbaijan’s State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons started to specify the list of missing persons in 2015, the commission’s secretary, Ismayil Akhundov, told APA.

“This process was continued last year and completed. To date, the State Commission has recorded 3,875 people as missing. Of them, 3,165 are military servicemen and 710 are civilians,” he said.

Akhundov noted that the State Commission closely cooperates with international organizations, including the International Committee of the Red Cross in this regard. "We have deducted the difference in the lists of two organizations to 75, although in 2015 this figure was above 350,” he added.
