A total of 732 and 714 people were poisoned of medications in Azerbaijan in 2016 and 2017 respectively, which suggests the number of such cases has decreased,” Ismayil Afandiyev, a toxicologist of the Azerbaijan Medical University, said on Tuesday, APA reports.
Afandiyev said children constitute 15% of the patients, noting that severe poisoning occurred as a result of taking medications inducing sleep and preventing convulsion.
