The street named after Georgian People’s Artist Ibrahim Isfahanli, located in Tbilisi’s Krtsanisi district, has undergone major repair and restoration, APA’s local bureau reports.

The city mayor, Kakha Kaladze, reviewed the work carried out on the street.

He stated that another project aimed at developing road infrastructure in the Krtsanisi district has been completed.

Kaladze noted that underground communications, electric lines, a water pipeline, and the sewage network on the street were installed and restored.

According to information from the Tbilisi City Hall, sidewalks and curbs have been installed on Ibrahim Isfahanli Street, and a retaining wall and lighting network have also been built. The cost of the project amounted to 527 thousand lari.

New nameplates indicating the street’s name are expected to be installed soon on the street located near the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Georgia.

Note that the name of Ibrahim Isfahanli (1897–1967) was given to the street in 1997, the year when the actor’s 100th anniversary was celebrated. He was a leading actor and director at the Azerbaijani Theatre in Tbilisi and is well known to a wide audience for his role as the accountant Yarmammad in the film “Great Support” (1962).
