In Moscow, the capital of the Russian Federation, a presentation ceremony for Azerbaijani director Rufat Asadov’s film “Mother’s Prayer” was held at the Cultural Center of the Russian Mountain Jews Association, APA reports.
The presentation ceremony was organized on the initiative of the International Mountain Jews Foundation and the “Sholumi” Cultural Center.
The film tells the history of the Mountain Jews settled in Azerbaijan’s Oghuz district. The film, dedicated to the important work done by Mountain Jews in Israel to promote our country, celebrates the historical friendship between the Azerbaijani and Jewish peoples.
The protagonist of the film is Rabbi Shmuel Simantov, who was born in Oghuz, currently lives in Israel, and is one of the active members of the Azerbaijani diaspora. The producer of the film is Shaul Siman-Tov, also one of the active members of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Israel.
This documentary is the seventh film by director Rufat Asadov about Mountain Jews.
