Next relocation caravan arrives in Khanyurdu village of Khojaly, families receive house keys

The next relocation caravan has arrived in the Khanyurdu village of Khojaly, APA's Karabakh bureau reports.

Those being relocated are families who had been temporarily settled in various parts of the republic, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings.

According to information provided to APA’s Karabakh bureau by the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in the city of Khankandi, and the districts of Aghdara and Khojaly, 12 families — 34 people — were relocated to the village of Khanyurdu at this stage.

The relocated families consist of citizens who, for many years, had been temporarily settled in various regions of the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings.

At the ceremony of presenting the keys to the apartments to the residents, Deputy Executive Director of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in the city of Khankandi and the districts of Aghdara and Khojaly, Mahmud Afandiyev, other officials, and village residents took part. In his speech, Afandiyev congratulated the residents on returning to their native lands within the framework of the Great Return program. He stated that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, large-scale restoration and reconstruction work is being rapidly carried out in the liberated territories, and that all necessary social infrastructure — roads, water, electricity, gas, and other public utilities — is being fully provided in the villages. The residents, in turn, shared the joy of returning to their ancestral homes.

As of today, 99 families consisting of 340 people have returned to the village of Khanyurdu.
