Head of Netherlands Foreign Ministry discusses deepening cooperation in Baku

Caroline Ramaekers, Head of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, concluded her visit to Azerbaijan on 13–14 November, APA reports, citing the Embassy of the Netherlands.

Throughout her visit, she met with government institutions and public authorities to discuss political dialogue, bilateral relations, and opportunities to deepen cooperation between the Netherlands and Azerbaijan.

Caroline Ramaekers also met with Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, as well as Anar Ajamov, Acting Director of the Department for Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan. She held a meeting with AZPROMO, where discussions focused on investment opportunities for Dutch companies, the local business environment, and the export potential of Azerbaijani products to the Netherlands. She also held insightful exchanges with the AIR Center and the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, discussing regional political and economic developments, as well as the Middle Corridor. Her visit to ADA University included engaging discussions with students and faculty.

As part of the cultural programme, she enjoyed a tour of central Baku and the Old City, exploring its rich heritage, architecture, and, of course, the taste of Azerbaijani tea.

The visit concluded with a networking reception hosted by the Embassy, bringing together partners and stakeholders to connect with her and exchange perspectives.
