“We have built cities from scratch during the ‘Great Return’. Currently, 12 cities are being planned, the master plans of 8 cities have already been approved, and work on 4 cities is nearing completion,” Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and national coordinator of WUF13, told journalists, APA reports.
He stated that within the framework of the “Great Return”, hundreds of villages are already being planned and successfully implemented: “Each settlement has been fully prepared on the basis of a plan covering a 20-year period, and work in this direction is being carried out. This is our main principle,” he emphasized.
