Work on the establishment of the “Azerbaijan–Türkiye International Forestry Training Center” and the “Smart Nursery Farm” continues, said Vugar Karimov, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources and Head of the Working Group, at the meeting of the Working Group on Environmental Issues held in Shusha city, APA’s Karabakh bureau reports.
Vugar Karimov noted that in this regard, in accordance with the territorial planning documents of the liberated districts, a total of 132 hectares of new green areas have been established in the territories of Zangilan, Jabrayil, Agdam, and Fuzuli districts allocated for the creation of green spaces. At the same time, within the framework of plans for clearing forest fund areas from mines and unexploded ordnance, planting and sowing activities have been carried out on a total of 408 hectares of forest fund areas in Jabrayil, Zangilan, Gubadli, Fuzuli, and Lachin districts.
In addition, forest restoration measures have been initiated on a total of 240 hectares of forest fund areas in Agdere, Lachin, Zangilan, and Jabrayil districts, and currently forest planting and sowing activities are ongoing.
