Baku hosts ECO health ministers - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. Baku hosts first meeting of the health ministers of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member countries. According to APA, in his address to the conference, Health Minister of Azerbaijan Ogtay Shiraliyev said ECO established 25 years ago for strengthening of economic and technical cooperation increases its international influence. â€œEvery country aspires to economic development. The state should care first about its citizens and improve welfare and life conditions of population. Azerbaijan is increasing budget assignment for healthcare and intensifying economic-humanitarian activity. No country can develop its healthcare individually at the global arena. The healthcare needs in international cooperation to be developedâ€.

Shiraliyev said the countries having healthy citizens have a strong economy as well. The minister noted that the organization united 10 countries targets the development of economic cooperation. â€œThis event will be successful and fruitful. It will create new opportunities to promote development of healthcare in every countryâ€.

Shiraliyev said the health ministers would discuss the issues of blood transfusion, pharmaceutical cooperation, exchange of health and technical experiences, foundation of academic presidium in ECO countries for important healthcare issues, elaboration of action plan on healthcare cooperation and adopt Baku Declaration.

ECO Secretary General Mohammad Marufi stated that the member countries have to use the opportunities they have and to determine their action directions. â€œWe will express our ideas about the future activities and work here. I believe we will achieve positive results during the discussions. The ideas expressed here will be useful to create healthy atmosphere in the regionâ€.
