Igdir residents say their soldiers would ruin Armenia if war begins

Resident Ali Gunesh told APA the ones who demand to open borders cannot be Turkish.
â€œArmenians beheaded my ancestors in the Sacrifice Feast. They wouldnâ€™t demand to open the borders if their ancestors had faced this tragedy. What economic relations can we have with Armenians? Armenians didnâ€™t kill the brother of head of Kars municipality. I cannot live with Armenians. Turk has no friend but Turk. Armenian come and kill my grandfather here and I trade with them, no way. We want neither this trade nor its benefitâ€?, he said.
The residents also protested against the slogan â€œWe all are Armenians, we all are Hrantâ€? voiced in the funeral of Hrant Dink, editor-in-chief of Agos newspaper.
â€œWe felt pangs of conscience while watching these frames. What does it mean â€œWe are Armeniansâ€?? Let dishonorable Armenian go hell and live in Armenia. We protested against this slogan and hoist Turkish flags in the village. We all are children of Ataturk, not Armenian. They give a lesson named â€œTurkish hostilityâ€? in Armenian schools. Azerbaijani nation shouldnâ€™t be worried, borders with Armenia wonâ€™t be openedâ€?, they noted.
The residents of Oba village also protested against the opening the borders and said first of all it is necessary to liberate occupied Azerbaijani territories from Armenian occupation.
â€œThese lands have been occupied not by the power of Armenia, but the great countries. Armenia has nothing, let alone power. If there is a war, Igdir soldiers would ruin Armenia. This notion has suffered a lot from Armenians. There will be exchange some day. Let Azerbaijani brothers be sure. If war begins, everybody from child to elder of Igdir will be by their side.
