The letter says Russia’s airline regulator is suspending flying certificates for Boeing 737s in use in the country. Two modifications are still considered as unserviceable – “Classic” and “Next Generation”.
According to the document, this step was taken due to failure of the steering system height. Russia was in correspondence with the US in this regard for a year: “However, US has not concrete response regarding security issues”.
