Answering the question “Is there any threat for Mingachevir reservoir on increase of water level?”, the minister said the reservoir has certain problems: “Water is leaking from the dikes. If water significantly increases in the reservoir, there will be problems. The organizations managing those dikes are aware of this and take measures”.
Bagirov also noted that fines on the environment contamination increased 40 times during last decade: “I cannot say the violations decline, but the fines are effective”.
