According to him, the sides are working on a project planning joint building of An-178 panes. The load capacity is planned to make 18 tonnes.
“Azerbaijani government is currently considering this issue. On behalf of our government, I can only say that we support to build An-178 planes in Azerbaijan. We hope everything will be ready for building first An-178 planes by mid-2018”, Asgerov said.
In turn, the Ukrainian aircraft manufacturer Antonov President Mikhail Gvozdev said extension of cooperation does not envisage sale of An-178 planes to Azerbaijan: “The matter is about joint production”.
