As a result of the delimitation work carried out regarding the four villages returned to Azerbaijan in the Gazakh district, a 12.7 km-long border line has been determined, this was reflected in the report of Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan for 2024, APA reports.
In the reporting year, the villages of Baganis Ayrim, Ashagi Askipara, Kheyrimli, and Gizilhajili in the Gazakh district, which had been under occupation for 30 years, were returned to Azerbaijan based on an agreement by the State Commission on Delimitation. As a result, 6.5 km² of territory was returned to Azerbaijan, and a 12.7 km-long Azerbaijan-Armenia border line was determined through the delimitation process. Currently, work is underway to restore these villages.
