Azerbaijan President acquaints himself with construction work in Baku-Guba-Russian border Highway

At the 109th kilometer of the highway, the Minister of Transport Ziya Mammadov and President of Akkord Construction Company Ilgar Hajiyev briefed the head of state about the progress of the construction works.
The project was launched on May 15.
The project envisions building a concrete road from the 16th km to 134th km. the project also covers construction of communications lines, water pipes, bridges and crossings.
The six-lane ready-for-use part of the highway runs from 16th to 31stkm. The concrete-cover part of the highway from 31st km to 134th km is four-lane.
At the same time, a two-lane asphalt-concrete cover road is under construction in this direction.
15 concrete plants were constructed to support works along the highway.
There will be 21 bridges and overpasses, 10 intersections, 15 cattle-crossing tunnels and 150 different water pipes on the highway.
The concrete cover is 28cm thick. Akkord is constructing a tunnel overpass at the 11th km and a bridge overpass at the 16km.
