Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. â€œCorridors of Serbia d. o. oâ€ and AzVirt company of Azerbaijan signed a contract at Azerbaijani Embassy in Serbia on the construction site of Ljig-Prelina of â€œ11th corridorâ€ main road (Belgrade-South Adriatic).

The embassy told APA that the contract was signed by the director of "Corridors of Serbia d. o. o" Michael Misic, director of AzVirt Kamil Aliyev and Director of AzVirt Ogranak (Belgrade) Isa Akbulut.

After the signing ceremony, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Serbia Eldar Hasanov, noted the professionalism of Azerbaijani AzVirt, a number of successfully implemented projects both in Azerbaijan and abroad.

Boris Tadic, recently resigned from his post as president of Serbia and once again put forward his candidacy, touched upon significant development of the Serbian-Azerbaijani relations in recent years, stressing that Serbia attaches great importance to cooperation with our country.

Tadic said that Serbia’s citizens and Azerbaijani businessmen for many years will reap the fruits of which will conclude this agreement.

To him, Azerbaijan has great potential in all areas, is a leading, politically stable and economically developed country in the region.

It should be noted that, the Azerbaijani government allocated a loan of 308 million euros for 25 years at a rate of 4% per annum for the construction of roads in Serbia.
