Passenger transportation tariffs decreases in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. The tariffs on cargo transport in transport sector increased by 0.7%, while on passenger transportation dropped 1.5%, in March, 2012.

According to State Statistical Committee, the tariffs on import of 10 tons of cargo in railway transport rose 12.1%, on export â€“ 9.6%, on transportation of transit cargos â€“ 4.6%, on local connection decreased by 11.3%.

1.9%-cheapening was observed in tariffs on international passenger transportation by railway. No changes were observed on tariffs on cargo and passenger transportation by sea transport.

Cargo transportation tariffs to CIS countries dropped 0.5%, passenger transportation â€“ 1.5%, passenger transportation to other countries fell 3.7%. Transportation tariffs via pipeline rose 0.2%.
