APA reports citing portnews.ru that the negotiations of Russian and Azerbaijani delegations during the visit of Russian delegation led by Transport Minister Igor Levitin to Baku. Within the framework of the visit the minister met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
During the negotiations it was noted that the bridge over the river Samur is a key element of the transport system that provides transportation of goods by roads between Russia and Azerbaijan. The sides came to a conclusion about the need for repair work to restore the size parameters and bearing capacity of the existing bridge for vehicular traffic and pedestrians.
if there will occur need during repair of the bridge, passage of commercial vehicles may be carried out through the checkpoints New-Filya (Russia) - Shirvanovka (Azerbaijan).
