Azerfon expands Vodafone partnership to Nar Mobile brand
Nar Mobile customers will be able to benefit from this partnership, as Nar Mobile and Vodafone will jointly market products and services, combining the nationally-recognized brand Nar Mobile with the globally-recognized brand Vodafone. Azerfon could already strongly gain out of the partnership by implementing Vodafone’s globally proven best practice. “We are serving our customers according European standards – everybody should feel highest grade of individual security and customer orientation†said Jurgen Peetz, CEO of Azerfon.
“The Partnership agreement signed in 2009 between Azerfon and Vodafone marked a new stage in the development of the mobile communications in Azerbaijan. With this partnership Nar Mobile customers will be able to benefit from the voice and data roaming services in more than 120 countries. All customers of 070 and 077 prefixed numbers will be using the same services and tariffs and will be served through the same retail network.
Indeed, Nar Mobile is the first operator that introduced 3G services in Azerbaijan, including video calling, high-speed data transfer, improved voice quality as well as enhanced network coverage and capacity in 2012.
Unlike the basic 3G technology with the data transfer speed of up to 384 kbps, the Nar Mobile network allows its customers to use high-speed data access of up to 14,4 Mbps. In mid-2011 Nar Mobile invested more than 80mln USD to major network expansion and modernization under which all cities and regions of Azerbaijan will be covered with 3G network. Being the most innovative operator, Nar Mobile also announced that Nar Mobile customers will soon be able to use full range of mobile communication services, including voice calling, SMS and internet, during the flights of the Azerbaijan Airlines.
