Azerbaijani President attends ground-breaking ceremony of Masalli city water sewerage system

Deputy Chief of Amelioration and Water Management Open Joint Stock Company Mammad Sadig Guliyev informed the Azerbaijani President that there I serious need in Masalli for improvement of water supply system. Moreover, sewage treatment plant, which construction had been stopped in 1990, is in useless situation.

It was noted that on the basis of the new project, the water volume per capita in Masalli city calculated at 180 l within a day. And it means 2 million 400 thousand cubic meters of water demand by distributing water to water distribution network within 24 hours. Vileshchay reservoir has been considered as a main source for improvement of water supply of Masalli city.

Besides, it was offered to construct water reservoir with the volume of 5 thousand cubic meters. Drinkable water will enter the treatment plant, located in 400 m distance, with normal speed. Maximum capacity of that station will make daily 22,000 mÂ³. This is sufficient for supplying of Masalli and Jalilabad regions with drinking water. Daily 6,566 mÂ³ of water will be sent to new storehouse and the water will be passed to water-distributor network.

It was noted that, drinking water network will be consisted of 5,000 mÂ³- storage, main pipeline with the length of 6.8 km and diameter of 630 mm and distributor-water lines with the length of 121.5 km and diameter of 110-400 mm. According to new project, total length of waste water network and collectors will be 111.1 km, diameters of pipes â€“ 200-800 mm. Collected waste water was amounted to equivalent of 37,000 people. Relevant SKADA system will be installed for management of this device from any distance. Besides, Melioration and Water Economy implements same projects in Siyazan, Shabran, Aghsu, Ismayilli, Jalilabad, Yardimli and Lerik.

After meeting the project, President laid foundation of new water-canalization system in Masalli.
