Azerbaijani Transport Ministry considers offers for purchasing cars for Intelligent Transport Management Center

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. The Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan considers offers for purchasing Toyota cars for the Intellectual Transport Management Center.

The ministry officials told APA that those who are wishing to participate in the survey can apply to the office at Heydar Aliyev Avenue 105 or call to 404 41-28/29 till March 14, 2012.

Intelligent Transport Management Center costing more than USD 95 millions started to work in December last year. Currently the system works normally and will start working at full capacity this summer.

The transport in Baku is managed through the advanced server, 18 network equipments and 120-sq.m monitor installed at the administrative building of the Intellectual Transport Management. The monitor implemented in the worldâ€™s intellectual transport management could reflect 600 digital videotapes. It enables to get information about the situation at 150 intersections and about 2 000 buses. The monitor also has a digital map of Absheron peninsula. The information terminal made in Korea, located at bus stops allows passengers to know the schedule of buses. 326 systems are reflecting the situation on the roads via cameras. 60 cameras were installed in the highways for observing the traffic situation, determining failures of vehicles and emergency situations on the roads and conducting monitoring of traffic jams areas.
