Construction of next building on the territory of Baku White City starts
The building represents 7-storey 6 block structure, which was designed by Atkins together with local specialists.
Cleaning of the polluted areas in the Green Hill district, where is situated this building is nearly completed by the Ecol(SOCAR) company and works of creating the infrastructure began.
Design works pointed at transforming Khagani Rustamov street, where this building will be situated to the modern 6-strip avenue with 45 m width are already done. They are aimed on combining 2 main traffic arteries – Nobel avenue and Babek avenue.
At the same time are done the preparation works on the beginning of construction of some more buildings from the side of local and foreign investors, among which is the Baku White City Office Building, situated at Nobel avenue. Being one of the most symbolic buildings of the Baku White City project, on the stage of designing it became widely known in the international environment of architects and more than once was moved forward in the “Best future project†nomination at different international exhibitions.
The building will be situated on the territory of 2 ha where at the present time is situated a small platform with the stowage stone of the Baku White City project.
The planned height of the Baku White City Office Building is 137 meters. The total area of the 12-storey building will be 27 000 square km. of office areas with single-level ground and underground parking spaces.
Moreover, the building will be equipped with the special solar batteries in order to receive alternative energy in 144.1 kw volume per day.
Undoubtedly, the construction of the building of this level will contribute its mite in the modern architecture of Azerbaijan.
Urban Development Project Baku White City is carried out under the Decree of the President Ilham Aliyev on the approval of the «Plan of complex measures to improve the environmental situation in Azerbaijan in 2006-2010». Detailed information about the project can be found at www.bakuwhitecity.com .
