Russia to stop manufacture of VAZ-2107 cars
To him, Caspian-Lada has paid $15 mln to Azerbaijan’s state budget during 2011: “In general, 40-45% cars of Russian manufacture in car market of Azerbaijan belongs to our company. Up to this day, our clients have never expressed any serious dissatisfactionâ€.
As to importing of Russian cars to Azerbaijan with new standards from May 1, Gasimzadeh noted that all the models produced by AvtoVAZ were qualitative from technical viewpoint: “Soviet steel has a high rating for many years and AvtoVAZ cars are produced from this material. As to new standards, a lot depends on the drivers. For example, maximum speed of VAZ-2107 must not exceed 125 km/h. I can also say that AvtoVAZ will completely stop the manufacture of the mentioned model from April this year. Each month, AvtoVAZ produces about 10,000 cars and only 500-600 of these cars are exported to Azerbaijan, which means that AvtoVAZ does not manufacture bad cars. The cars exported to Azerbaijan are realized in domestic market of Russia, as well as in Ukraine, Kazakhstan and etc. In general, VAZ-2107 model is produced under Euro-IV parameterâ€.
Company’s official also noted that, there were approximately 700 cars in Caspian-Lada and more than it were ordered: “Latest ordered cars may be brought to Azerbaijan at the end of May. We applied to relevant organizations and I hope there will be some exclusionâ€.
F. Gasimzadeh also noted that, AvtoVAZ’s several models were exported to France, Germany, Spain, Czech ad ore countries: “2,000-2,500 cars are exported to these countries, per monthâ€.
About prices of VAZ-2107, Gasimzadeh noted that, the prices could be risen: “At present, the prices make AZN 6,500 – 6,700. there are 15%-difference between the base price and sale priceâ€.
Caspian-Lada’s president noted that, the company would import the cars that meet the standards: “At present, our Lada 114 and Lada 115 have not airbags and ABS brake system. It’s possible to eliminate this and supply these cars with those equipments. But this will increase the prices by AZN 1,500. Our other models meet the standardsâ€.
He also noted that, company’s annual sale volume made 11,000 cars.
