Azerbaijan attends EU Eastern Partnership Transport Panelâ€™s meeting

Azerbaijanâ€™s Transport Ministry told APA the meeting discussed facilitation of passenger and cargo transportation via railway, cooperation of EU with sea transport control systems, determination of priorities in development of infrastructure, joining the partner countries with the EU and etc.

The agenda included facilitation of passenger and cargo transportation via railway, cooperation of EU with sea transport control system, TEN â€“ T network for Eastern Partnership region and determination of network joining the partner countries with each other, the main developments within TRACECA and cooperation with the Transport Panel and etc.

The Azerbaijani delegation consisted of representatives from the Transport Ministry, Azerbaijan railways JSC and State Maritime Administration.

Note that, Transport Panel was established in October, 2011 in order to expand the cooperation in transport sphere with the Eastern Partnership countries.
