UN recommends Azerbaijan to join 5 international agreements in cosmic spasphere

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijani delegation led by Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov completed visit to Vienna.

According to Ministry, the 7th meeting of mixed commission on economy, industry, technique and technology spheres was held within the visit. Azerbaijani co-chairman of meeting was Ali Abbasov, Austrian co-chairman - Vice Minister, Ministry of Economy, Family and Youth Bernadette Gierlinger.

It was noted that, Austria interested in cooperation with Black Sea and Caspian Sea countries and Azerbaijan was important for Azerbaijan.

Besides, trade turnover made 138.9 mln Euros in 2011â€™s 9 months, while this figure 150 mln Euros in 2010.

Current situation of economic and commercial links, perspectives, EU-Azerbaijan links, membership to WTO were discussed at the meeting.

Minister Ali Abbasov met with Deputy Federal Minister of Transport, Innovations and Technologies Andreas Reichard, Director of the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs Mazlan Othman.

UN recommended Azerbaijan to join 5 cosmic agreements.

Within the mixed commissionâ€™s meeting, Austria-Azerbaijan business forum was held. Azpromoâ€™s spokesman made speech on Azerbaijanâ€™s economy, ker priorities of economic development and etc.

Besides, on February 22, MCIT held Day of Azerbaijan with Azerbaijani Embassy in Austria.
