Dell Q4 profit reaches $3.5 bn in 2011

Baku - APA-Economics. Dell Inc. reported Tuesday an 18 percent decline in fourth-quarter profits compared with the same period in fiscal 2011 but a 33 percent rise in profits for fiscal 2012.

Round Rock-based Dell (Nasdaq: DELL) posted a $764 million net income on $16 billion in revenue for the quarter ended Feb. 3 versus a $927 million net income on $15.6 billion in revenue during the same three-month period in fiscal 2011.

For fiscal 2012 â€” which has already ended for Dell â€” the company generated a $3.5 billion profit on $62 billion in revenue compared with $2.6 billion profit on $61.4 billion in revenue during the previous fiscal year.
