Lufthansa: Strike of air controllers has not impeded Baku- Frankfurt flight

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. Due to air controllersâ€™ strike at German Lufthansa airport, more than 270 flights have been delayed.

APA reports citing Spiegel publication that, air controllers demand rise of wages and improvement of work condition.

As a result of the two-day strike, Lufthansa airways sustained a big loss, the company has delayed 260 flights scheduled on February 17. Frankfurt-New York and New York- Frankfurt flight is among the delayed flights as well.

Note that, about 172 flights were delayed yesterday at Frankfurt airport. The strike lasts 10-12 hours every day.

Remind that, nearly 1,250 flights are implemented from the Frankfurt airport.

Baku office of the Lufthansa told APA that despite the mentioned strike, Baku- Frankfurt flight has been implemented today at 4.50. Next flight from Baku to Frankfurt has been scheduled on February 20.
