Passenger and cargo transportation tariffs in transport sector decreased in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. The tariffs on cargo transport in transport sector decreased by 2.4%, on passenger transportation – by 6.4%, in January, 2012.
According to State Statistical Committee, the tariffs decreased by 5.4% on local connection, 2.6% - on export, 0.3% - on import: “1.1% rise was observed in international connection in tariffs on passenger transportation via railwayâ€.
Transportation tariff of 1 ton of cargo via sea transport fell 5.1%.
Cargo transportation tariffs to CIS countries dropped 0.5%, passenger transportation – 12.8%, passenger transportation to other countries fell 21.4%, on local connection – 13.4%.
Gas transportation tariffs rose 2.5%, oil transportation tariffs slipped 4%.
Cargo transportation on motor transport increased by 0.1%.
