Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. The delegation of Azerbaijan led by Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev was visiting New York on 30 January-3 February.
According to the news service for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the delegation included representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs, communication and information technologies.
The aim of the visit is to hold bilateral consultations with the UN member-states for greater information about the works held on the implementation of the TASIM project which envisages the development of information and communication infrastructures in the region.
A resolution on TASIM project empowering the government of Azerbaijan to coordinate the project implementation at a regional level was unanimously passed in the UN General Assembly at the initiative of Azerbaijan in 2009.
