KfW: Second phase of Project on Cadastre and Register of immovable property will be initiated in Azerbaijan this year

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. The first phase of the project on Cadastre and Register of immovable property implemented in Azerbaijan, has been successfully completed, said Specialist of Baku office of the German Development Bank (KfW) Natig Abdullayev.

To him, the first phase of the project included the study of rural areas in Sheki and Ganja: “The first phase of the project was successfully completed in 2011. The second phase will be initiated this year”.

Abdullaev added that the second phase of the project was expected to be granted by KfW.

Remind that, in 2009, the German Development Bank granted 453 thousand euros to the Azerbaijani government for preparation of the “Project on Cadastre and Register of immovable property”.

The project objective is to prepare digital maps of real estate cadastre, creating conditions for more rational use of owned land of citizens, ensuring the transparency of the activity and the real estate market and stimulate economic development in the region.
