Graduates of Customs Academy to be preferred during recruitment to customs system in Azerbaijan

According to him, customs system in Azerbaijan develops and one of the main issues is to provide the system with personnel: â€œAs you know, World Customs Organization Regional Training Centre operates in Baku. Therefore, we applied to head of the state on launch of academy. This academy will be special high school in Azerbaijan, which trains specialistsâ€œ.

In establishment of Academy, experience of CIS countries, especially Russian Customs Academy will be trained: â€œAt the same time, we intend to establish Academy meeting the modern and necessary requirementsâ€.

To him, admission to Customs Academy will be carried out via the State Commission on Student Admission of Azerbaijan. Besides, according to customs code, some demands such as age limit, health and etc will be considered during admission. Term of education at the academy will be 4 years and only one faculty (â€œOrganization of customs controlâ€) will operate here.

As to fate of customs faculties a other universities, Aliyev noted that their activities would go on, but he noted that this issue would be solved by the Education Ministry and those universities.

Moreover, committee chairman noted that afterwards, during recruitment process to customs bodies, graduates of the Customs Academy would be more preferred.
