Investment in Azerbaijanâ€™s main capital rises 27% last year

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. In 2011, the investments in Azerbaijanâ€™s main capital made AZN 12.8 mln, up 27.3% compared to a year ago.

The State Statistical Committee says 80.3% fell on share of domestic investment. 43.1% of investments were directed to production of goods, 56.9% - for the construction of the tertiary sector. 58.6% was invested by organizations and individuals belonging to state sector. During the reporting period, several new buildings and facilities (Hilton Baku, Jumeirah Bilgah Beach Hotel, Kempinski Badamdar, Medical and Diagnostic Center, Darnagul subway station, Olympic sports complex in Sumgayit and etc) were commissioned in the country.
