AvtoKrAZ sees 107% rise in production

Baku - APA-Economics. AvtoKrAZ Holding Company (Kremenchuh, central Ukraine), Ukraine’s sole producer of heavy trucks, manufactured 1,071 vehicles to consumers in 2011, which was 107% more than in 2010, the company’s press service has reported.

Of the total number of vehicles shipped to customers, 71% of vehicles were supplied to CIS countries, 20% across Ukraine, and 9% to other countries.

The plant exported 740 trucks to Russia, or 82% of the total number of trucks exported in 2011, and the number of trucks sold to Russia in 2011 rose by 60% compared to 2010. In 2011, the company managed to enter the markets in the Philippines and Rwanda, the countries where KrAZ trucks were not earlier delivered. After a long break, the company also resumed deliveries to Macedonia and Thailand. In 2012, AvtoKrAZ is planning to sell around 2,500-3,000 trucks. AvtoKrAZ produces 33 basic models and more than 260 modifications of KrAZ vehicles for work in all sectors of the economy and the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The holding’s trucks are operated in more than 60 countries worldwide.
