New dialing method to be applied in networks of mobile operators in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. From January 21, in accordance with the Decree of the Ministry of Communications and IT, on-net calls will be applied by a 10-digit dialing.

So, the calls to Bakcell numbers will need to dial prefix â€œ055â€ at the beginning of phone number (for example, "055Â» XXX-XX-XX).

A new method of dialing will be applied to networks of other mobile operators too (Azercell â€œ050â€ and â€œ051â€, Azerfon â€œ070â€ and â€œ077â€).

Application of the new method is carried out accordingly to the international standards, which today is practiced in many countries. Note that, the decision was made within implementation of Number Portability Service project.
