Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. The European Union added four more airline companies to its blacklist of unsafe carriers banning their flights in 27 EU member countries.

According to APA-Economics, Aeromajestic and Interisland Airlines (Philippines), Stellar Airways and Equatorial Congo of Republic of Congo and Rollins Air of Honduras were banned from flying in the European Union countries because they didn’t submit necessary documents confirming safety of their flights. Rollins Air was included in the blacklist when France first raised the safety issue.

“Safety comes first. We cannot afford any compromise in this area”, EU representative for transport affairs Siim Kallas said in his statement in Brussels.

273 airline companies of 20 countries are in the EU blacklist of unsafe flights.
