Tallest residential tower on schedule

â€ŽBaku â€“ APA-Economics. The world’s tallest residential tower being built in Dubai will be completed on schedule in December, its developers have said, gulfnews reported.

Tameer Holding Investment LLC has announced that the superstructure of Princess Tower has been finished. The tower, which is being built on a 37,410 square foot plot in the Dubai Marina area, will become the tallest residential building in the world when it is completed.

It will have 107 floors in total, with over six basements, a ground floor and 100 above-ground levels.

"Princess Tower is now in its final stages of construction and we look forward to the delivery and hand-over of this iconic project to each of our customers," said Federico Tauber, president of Tameer Holding Investment. "With its imposing height of 414 metres and world-record status, Princess Tower will become another prominent landmark for Dubai."

With a total built-up area of 1.75 million square feet, Princess Tower contains 763 luxury apartments including one-, two- and three- bedroom apartments plus four- and five-bedroom penthouses with views over the Arabian Gulf. Eight retail spaces have also been provided on the ground floor.

Facilities in the Princess Tower include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a gymnasium, children’s play area, sauna rooms, private car park and reception area. The top floor will also provide gathering and recreational facilities to residents.

The tower is located close to the Palm Jumeirah, Burj Al Arab and Madinat Jumeirah. Residents will enjoy private parking, access to public transport with close proximity to the Dubai Metro, as well as shopping facilities such as Marina Mall and Mall of the Emirates.

The upcoming Al Sufouh Tramway will also pass directly by the building enhancing its accessibility.
