Azerbaijan-based construction companies increase the construction works by 21% year-on-year

Baku. Nijat MUstafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based construction companies increased the construction works by 20.5% in January-May, 2011.

According to State Statistical Committee, 74.4% of works were new construction, reconstruction, 16.6% - capital repair, 3.2% - current repair, 5.8% - other construction works. State sector conducted 30.2% of construction works, non-state sector â€“ 69.8%.

Note that, the average monthly salary of 68,200 persons working in construction sector made AZN 512 in January-May, 2011, up 3.1% compared to a year ago. Average monthly salary of workers in large and medium construction companies stood at AZN 540.1.
